History:
The National Association of Institutional Agribusiness (NAIA) created in 1951 by a group of professionals affiliated with the American Correctional Association and the various Correctional Agribusiness Operations throughout the United States. Their goal was to create an association where leaders in agriculture could network, receive industry specific training, connect with industry partners, and positively impact lives in their communities.
Our Members:
The National Association of Institutional Agribusiness (NAIA) is the professional association for those in correctional agribusiness. Our current members span across the United States from state, federal and county Department of Corrections and Correctional Industries. They are innovated leaders within the field of Agribusiness with expertise in livestock care, proper cultivation and use of land, food safety and security. Our members are responsible for educating future leaders, through the development of certification programs and partnerships with local Colleges and Universities. They are vital to our communities working with local industries for solutions with livestock, crop irrigation, seed selection and equipment maintenance. Together our members positively impact lives and the communities around them.

Our Purpose:
Our objective is to grow agribusiness and provide sustainable solutions for the future.
Our focus is on providing education, essential job skills and certified training programs for the men and women within our correctional systems. Through our National Training Conference, we provide networking and training opportunities for leaders within Correctional Agribusiness. Together we promote excellence in Correctional Agribusiness that create safer communities and successful reentry.
